Top 3 Ways to Improve Your Blog

Here are a few ways to make your blog better:
  1. Keep it Brief - Most people don't truly read websites nowadays, they scan them. If your entries are too long, readers will lose interest and move on. There are exceptions where some readers will read through even the longest entries, but these are few and far between. You want to get your point across without boring the reader to death.
  2. Bold Key Points - In keeping with the idea that readers tend to scan rather than actually read, highlight the important areas of an entry. If they're scanning, then they will be drawn to the bold text. Keep it to a short phrase so as not to overdo the effect, and you want to avoid bolding more than once or twice per paragraph.
  3. Use Lists - Lists are another good way to provide the information you are trying to convey without drawing it out into a thesis. Point-by-point lists will help keep people interested, but also will attract readers in the first place.
